Tea is a drink originally hailing back to the Chinese civilisation. It consists of an infusion or decoction made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis, a woody plant cultivated in China, as well as Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Japan and Kenya. Sometimes these leaves are also blended with spices, herbs or essences.
Tea has a wide range of aromas, whether it’s floral, fruity, sweet or herbaceous, or even an intentionally bitter, astringent[2] taste. After water, it is the most-drunk beverage in the world.[3]
